Hello everyone

 Welcome to the course!

 The world today runs on the internet. All our daily activities requires an operational internet thus its important to understand how the internet works.

In this course, we will study the structure of the internet, services offered by the internet, use and importance of the internet, and web application basics and design.  This knowledge will enable you appreciate the competitive advantage organizations gain by connecting to the internet. 

In addition, you will study the mechanism of connecting to the internet and the process of choosing a internet service provider. This will enable you to advise clients on the process of connecting to the internet.

A criminal world has developed that leverages on the internet. Therefore, as an IT professional, you require to understand the risks emanating from the internet  and their mitigation measures.

This is a blended course where some activities will be in class (face to face), others in laboratories while others will be online (E-tivities). Many learning activities are collaborative (to be done in groups). You will get comments from your fellow learners as well as from the tutors / lecturers.
